TOEFL

Test Of English as a Foreign Language or TOEFL in short is a test of an individual's ability for understanding and using English in an academic setting. The test is designed and administered by Educational Testing Service (ETS) and registered trademark of ETS. Developed to address the problem of ensuring English language proficiency for non-native speakers wishing to study at U.S. universities, it is now a primary requirement for admission in any of the English-speaking colleges and universities. Additionally, institutions such as government agencies, licensing bodies, business houses or scholarship programs may require this test too. TOEFL scores are valid for two years and are invalidated afterwards.
